At home, I share life with my incredible adult son—an egg master in the kitchen and my favorite fellow digital artist. He inspires me every day with his creativity and huge heart. Small towns are known to accept quirkier folks, and my son Dalton and I have been well embraced out here in Brevard, our home and the community is our family.
We also live with Jeepy, the world’s sweetest (and tiniest) chihuahua, who keeps us both in line. Jeepy is named after the 1930s Popeye comic. Popeye had a teleporting companion named Eugene the Jeep. Which, for trivia fans, is where we most likely get the name of the military Jeep.
Fifteen years ago, my son and I found Brevard by accident. We came here without family or friends, and now we have a community that we consider our own. I'm an active volunteer for Bread of Life, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Blue Ridge Community trivia team. As well as being a photographer for 20 years, I have been known as a local bartender in Brevard for 15 years.
